Lyrics for adults, riddims for the child in all of us. Songwriter / Bassist / Guitarist DAVID PILGRIM was raised in the island paradise of Barbados and came of age in New York’s bustling concrete cityscapes.

Since 1998, he’s spanned those two worlds, playing his own Caribbean-accented fusion which he refers to as  ISLAND SOUL.

2011 marked the release of his current album, ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL.
It is a genre-stretching work that further expands the concepts of his two previous albums, 1998‘s UNDER THE BUSHEL and 2004‘s ISLAND SOUL.

He is also a founding member of
THE SOULFOLK EXPERIENCE,
a circle of seasoned New York songwriters/multi-instrumentalists who in 2010 released the self-produced compilation album
